CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT

  • Check-in time is after 2:00 p.m. Check-out time is strictly by 11:00 a.m. on departure day. To ensure we have sufficient time to clean up our cabins, we ask all guests to leave on time. Otherwise, there will be a $50/hour charge for checking out late.
  • In order for us to serve you better, please let us know upon booking your approximate time of arrival and departure.
  • Please call ahead for special arrangements for arrivals after 7:00 p.m or departure before 8:00 a.m.
  • All guests must register at the office, where you will receive your cottage key.

AMENITIES

  • Due to COVID-19 precautions, guests are required to bring their own bed sheets, pillowcase, blanket/duvet covers and towels. In cases of emergency, we can loan bedding sets at $20/set to be used for the whole stay.
  • Each cottage is stocked with kitchenware, utensils, along with basic condiments such as salt, sugar and pepper; basic toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, hand wash liquid, hand sanitizing gel, and toilet paper; and basic household items such as coffee filter, dish cloth, dish soap, and garbage bags.
  • Additional freezers and/or refrigerators are prohibited at cottages due to our electrical loading capacity for each site.

DAMAGE POLICY

  • A $100.00 security deposit must be given upon check-in. It will be returned to you once a successful inspection of the cabin is completed. It is to your advantage to do this deposit in cash as credit cards can take up to three weeks to be refunded, as well as you may be charged a 3.0% transaction fee.
  • As part of our inspection, we expect to see all garbage and recycling removed from your cabin and put in the dumpster area by the parking lot. We would appreciate it if you would leave the cabin the way that you found it. Any need for excessive cleaning on our part will result in the loss of all or part of your security deposit.
  • Stains found in mattresses, sofas, loaned bedding sets and towels shall be charged to the guests.
  • Nothing shall be attached to cottage floors, walls or ceiling by nails, screws, glue gun or any other means – otherwise, it will be considered as a damage to property and repair costs shall be charged to the guest.
  • Vandalism is strictly not allowed.
  • Explosives, flammable materials, objects emitting foul odors, deadly weapons or firearms, or other prohibited articles are STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

POOL

  • Pool hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. except during severe weather. The pool is open from July 1 to September Labor Day weekend. An adult must accompany children under the age of 16. There is NO lifeguard on site, so pool safety rests solely on you.

WATER SPORTS EQUIPMENT

  • Kayaks, paddleboards, paddle boats and some other water sports equipment are available for use and are free of charge for cottage guests. Guests can sign them out from the office.

FIRE PIT

  • Each cottage has its own fire pit, which should be placed at least 15 feet away from any structure. All campfires must be out by 11pm; please put the fire out with water.

BBQ GRILL

  • Each cottage is equipped with a propane BBQ grill. Please remember to turn off propane tanks after each use.
  • Personal BBQ grills, fish cookers or hot plates are NOT allowed on the cottage decks or picnic tables.

GARBAGE

  • Place all garbage in the dumpster at the corner of the parking lot. Our staff empties it daily.
  • Cooking grease must be put in the glass jar provided, placed by the stove or under the sink.

QUIET TIME and OTHER COURTESIES

  • For the comfort of other guests, we ask that all outside radios/music be turned off by 11:00 p.m. NO loud noise/music will be allowed from 11:00 p.m to 8:00 a.m.
  • During the day, please keep the volume to an appropriate level and limited to your own site.
Please switch off the lights when you leave.

  • Please check to make sure all appliances (such as kettles, toasters, stovetops and ovens) are turned off before leaving your cottage.

  • Must be done in the fish-cleaning hut. Please clean up thoroughly after each use.
Label your fish bags if you would like to store your fish in our freezers.
  • No uncleaned or live fish are permitted in the cottages and no entrails can be placed in the dumpster.

SEPTIC SYSTEM

  • The rural cottage septic system is VERY sensitive; it is imperative that guests use our provided toilet paper only. Do not flush materials of any kind in the toilet.
  • NO kitchen grease is to be dumped directly into the sinks/drainage. Damage due to the abuse of the septic system will be charged to the guest.

ALCOHOL, DRUGS, and ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES

  • Alcoholic beverages are allowed only at your cottage site and not in the public area. This is the law in Ontario. Open containers on rental boats are prohibited; a confiscation of the boat and equipment by the OPP may occur if a violation is incurred.
  • Drugs and illegal substances of any kind are not permitted on the property.

SMOKING

  • Indoor smoking in all cottages is strictly prohibited.  A minimum cleaning fee of $250 will be charged to anyone found smoking in a cottage.

PET POLICY

  • For the comfort of other guests, one small, quiet pet is permitted per cottage at a fee of $50.00 for the entire stay, with prior approval. Pets must not be left unattended and must be on a leash at all times. We ask that you stoop and scoop. You are responsible for your pet(s) and its actions. For other guests, please stay away from those pets you are not familiar with.

*Please note, these policies are for your protection and enjoyment. They will be strictly enforced and failure to comply with these and other rules found posted in the cottages will lead to your eviction from the premises and loss of payments made. Please ensure your group and visitors conduct themselves accordingly.

*For your security, please keep all valuable articles in a safe place. We will not be responsible for any loss or damage to personal items.
