We require upon check-in:

• $500 refundable security / damage deposit (visa/cash) for Bass Boat & Pontoon Boat.
• A $300 refundable security / damage deposit (visa/cash) for 9.9 HP or 15 HP Aluminum Boat.
• A $50 non-refundable deposit to hold your boat rental, which will be deducted from your balance due upon arrival.

Rules and policies

• All rates are in Canadian funds.  Taxes and gas are extra.
• Gas/oil is to be purchased from Adventure Bay Cottages. Absolutely use ONLY OUR premium marine (no ethanol) gas for our boats. Gas price may changes without prior notice to reflect the current market price. We charge in ½ or a full tank unit (nothing in between). A day rental (8 hours) or less will include gas except pontoons.
• Life jacket included in boat rental.
• Please note: Boat Pleasure Craft Operator Cards (license) are mandatory in Ontario in order to operate a powered watercraft.
• No alcohol is permitted on board.
• Boats must be returned 1/2 hour before dark, varies depending the time of the year.
• Boat operators are responsible for loss or damage to boat or equipment and safety of passengers on board.
• No one under 16 yrs. will be permitted to operate a boat & motor. An adult must accompany persons under 18 yrs.
• Gasoline must be stored away from cottages. Please store in your vehicle or on your boat if you bring your own boats.
• If we are required to come get you on the water for non boat malfunctioning issues (ie. ran out of gas, severe damage) there will be a $100 charge added to the credit card on file for the time and gas required to bring you back to the dock.
• We ask you to return the boats in the same condition they were rented to you. That includes ensuring they are not excessively dirty. We reserve the right to deduct a $50 cleaning fee from your damage deposit if the boat is returned dirty.
• We do not sell fishing licenses on site. You can purchase them online/on site at BJ Tackle in Bewdley. A fishing license is required by law to fish in Canada.
• We do sell worms/ice and basic fishing gears in the office.
• We understand if you need to change the date of your booking or cancel due to thunder or lightning. However if it is just a bit of rain and you do not cancel 2 days before, we will charge you for the full day rental. If canceled 2 days before, we will keep the $50 non-refundable boat reservation deposit. Please respect the cancellation policy. If the credit card on file is not sufficient to cover the rental we reserve the right to take the customers to small claims court and include the cost of our time to do so and court costs in the suit.
